What is NMN?
NMN, or nicotinamide mononucleotide, is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that declines as we age. However, with the use of NMN supplements, we can replenish this vital molecule and unlock its many benefits.
What is Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+)?
NAD+ is an essential coenzyme required for life and cellular functions. Enzymes are catalysts that make biochemical reactions possible. Coenzymes are ‘helper’ molecules that enzymes need in order to function.
So, what makes NMN so exciting?
First and foremost, NMN has been shown to enhance the body’s natural production of NAD+, a coenzyme that is essential for cellular energy production and DNA repair. As we age, our NAD+ levels naturally decline, but with NMN supplementation, we can reverse this decline and improve our overall health and vitality.
But that’s not all. NMN has also been linked to improvements in cardiovascular health, muscle function, and endurance. It has been shown to improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and lower blood pressure, all of which are important factors in maintaining a healthy heart. And for those looking to enhance their athletic performance, NMN can increase mitochondrial function in muscle cells, leading to improved muscle function and endurance.
The benefits of NMN don’t stop there. It has also been linked to improved cognitive function, increased energy levels, and reduced risk of age-related diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer’s. With its wide range of potential benefits, NMN is quickly becoming one of the most exciting anti-aging supplements on the market.

Supported with Human Clinical Trials
A published human clinical trial, titled “the impacts of short-term NMN supplementation on serum metabolism, fecal microbiota, and telomere length in pre-aging phase” is done. This trial aims to evaluate DNA isolation & measurement of telomere length after consumption of 300mg NMN for 90 days. The results showed that telomere length was significantly elongated, almost doubled after 90 days.
Another published human clinical trial done on postmenopausal women showed that NMN significant improved glucose metabolism & skin glycation. 17 postmenopausal women (mean age 55.0 years) without underlying diseases received oral intake of 300 mg/day of pure NMN for eight weeks. The results showed significant changes in vitamin B3, adiponectin and skin VAS score. Significant differences were also observed for BMI, AF levels, platelets, HbA1c, HDL-C, amylase, DHEA-s, NAD, and narrowly defined regulatory T cells (p < 0.05 above). In addition, all subjects showed a positive bodily sensation with skin, sleep, and fatigue.
In addition, a study was done to evaluate the anti-aging effect of NMN and its safety in a double-blind, parallel, randomised controlled clinical trial. 66 healthy subjects between the ages of 40 and 65 years took 300mg Uthever® NMN for 60 days. The results showed continuous improvement in NAD+ and better improvement of HOMA-IR.
